This is one of my favorite modern videos about the politics of sentencing.  It is already a bit dated, but still is a great 90 seconds.  Enjoy.

I think that was very clever! I don't know much about the policy behind the war on drugs, but I am interested to learn about what has been proposed as an alternative to jail sentences for drug offenders, and how ideas about how to sentence drug offenders differ when we're talking about the run of the mill drug dealer vs. the big time drug lord.
